Anatolian kilims of this age were woven on narrow looms in two halves and then sewn together. In this case, the sewing together didn't take place and the halves were separated. As it hasn't been used on the floor, it is preserved in almost perfect condition, very unusual for a kilim that's over 150 years old. Perfect for an upholstery project or to mount and put on a wall.
